POP email accounts on avalon.pascal-central.com
The domain avalon.pascal-central.com
is being retired. It is important that if you are using this domain that you migrate
to a different domain as soon as possible. Once the domain is retired, any email
going to avalon.pascal-central.com domain will be lost.
It's important to understand that the actual domain is being deleted as a valid domain
address; hence, there will be no possible way to notify people with auto-responses
that it has changed after it is deleted.
What domain addresses are available?
- excaliburworld.net
- mac-guild.org
- blaise.pascal-central.com
What does the domain change mean to you? It means three things:
- It's part of your email address,
so it's important that people who email you know your new email address. For example,
if you were using johndoe@avalon.pascal-central.com, you need to swap out the avalon.pascal-central.com
with one of the domains above.
- It's your POP server address,
the address you use to log on and get your email. If you are using avalon.pascal-central.com
to retrieve your email, you need to switch to one of the other domains.
- It's your SMTP server address,
the address you use to send email. If you are using avalon.pascal-central.com as
your SMTP server, you need to switch to one of the other domains.
How does one get a POP account
on this server?
I provide a free POP email
account to those who contribute to Pascal Central in some form or another. If you
are interested, it doesn't hurt to request an account.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Thanks,
Bill
